GOING... GOING... GONE I 🚔
this week we received reports about the manner of driving of a Volkswagen Golf in Creswell and after a bit of searching around the local area the vehicle was located by PCSO Pieprzak.
Not only was it in a poor state of repair, the numberplate had been tampered with to show a different registration, most probably because the vehicle itself did not hold a valid insurance policy.
Sgt Molloy and PC Staniforth from the Clowne Safer Neighbourhood Team attended to assist with the seizure of the vehicle under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.
The tight angles on the street made it a challenging recovery but we got there in the end. Much to the delight of the local children who were fascinated!
Anti-social driving and driving without the relevant insurance in place will not be tolerated. If you commit these offences, please expect a visit from us and for your car to take a trip to the local recovery garage.
